About this spot
The walkway on the south side of the Ben Franklin Bridge climbs high over the Delaware, and looking back west from the middle you see the sun go down behind the Philadelphia skyline, with the river and Penn's Landing below. The Philadelphia entrance is at 5th and Race Streets. The path is shared with cyclists, so keep to one side. It is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. from October to April and until 9 p.m. from May to September, and it can close in bad weather.
