About this spot
From the water's edge at Polson Pier you get one of the widest views of the downtown skyline, looking west across the harbour. Around spring and autumn the sun sets right behind the towers; in winter it drops further left, over the harbour. The skyline reflects in the water as it lights up. The pier is free and open, with street parking nearby (read the signs). The Port Lands around it are a large construction zone, so some paths may be fenced off.
