About this spot
The big west-facing slope off Broadview Avenue looks across the Don Valley at the downtown skyline, with the CN Tower in view. From late autumn to early spring the sun sets behind the towers; in summer it goes down further right, over the valley trees. The city lights come on soon after. The hillside is open grass, so bring a blanket and arrive early on summer evenings, when it fills up. The 504 King streetcar runs along Broadview, and street parking nearby is limited.
