About this spot
This long sandy beach on the west shore of Toronto Island faces open lake, and the sun sinks into the water toward Humber Bay. Turn around afterwards for the downtown skyline lighting up across the harbour. Get there on the city ferry from the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal. Schedules change by season, so check the last sailing back before you go. Part of the beach is officially clothing-optional.
