Boquerón Bay curves around a long, shallow beach lined with palms, and the sun sets across the bay into the sea to the west. The water is calm, which makes it a favourite for families and for an evening swim. The public beach has restrooms, showers and shade, is open from Tuesday to Sunday until 7 p.m., closed on Mondays, and parking costs around $5 per car. A short walk north, the village of Boquerón is full of bars and street stalls selling oysters and seafood, and its waterfront is a lively place to watch the sunset with a drink.
