🌋 Sunset at Haleakalā National Park 🌅
Direct Sunset View
About this spot
Haleakalā, is a massive shield volcano on Maui and one of the most breathtaking places to watch a sunrise or sunset, with views that stretch above the clouds. This sunset felt like a dream. Standing at the crater, I couldn’t believe how surreal it was—literally like being above the clouds. ✨ No reservation needed for sunset (only sunrise requires one) 💵 Park Entry: - $30 per vehicle (valid 3 days, includes summit + Kīpahulu/Hana side) - $25 motorcycle | $15 per person (walk/bike, 16+) | Free under 15 📍 Tips: - Arrive 2–3 hours early — parking fills up fast near sunset - Bring layers — it's COLD at 10,000 feet (30–40°F cooler than sea level) - No separate parking fee (covered by park entry)
