Dolores Park, in the heart of San Francisco’s Mission District, is a favorite spot to relax, take in the city views, and watch the sunset. Since the park faces mostly east, you won’t see the sun set directly over the horizon, but the sky’s colors and the glow on the cityscape are still beautiful. The top of the hill is the best spot to sit, lay a blanket, or enjoy a picnic as the sky changes colors and the city lights come on. It can get chilly and windy as the sun sets, so bring layers or a blanket.
