From here, you get one of the most iconic panoramic views in Yosemite. At sunset, the granite formations glow in warm golden and pink light, creating an unforgettable scene. The road leading to Glacier Point itself is scenic and iconic. Sorry not great quality photos, they are from 2020, but I'll definitely be back. Park at the Glacier Point parking area (free). The viewpoint is just a short walk from the parking lot. Note that Glacier Point Road is typically closed from November through May or June due to snow, so plan accordingly. Arrive early during peak season as parking fills up quickly, especially for sunset. The elevation here is around 7,200 feet, so bring layers as it can get chilly, even in summer.
