About this spot
This free public beach behind Sunset Mall has the classic straight-on view of Burj Al Arab. In winter the sun sets close to the hotel's sail, and in summer further out over the Gulf to the right of it. The beach is open around the clock and is popular with surfers when there are waves. Umm Suqeim Park is next door, and parking gets tight on weekend evenings.
