Búnkers del Carmel

The Búnkers del Carmel, the remains of a Spanish Civil War anti-aircraft battery on top of Turó de la Rovira, give one of the widest panoramas in Barcelona, from the sea and Montjuïc round to Tibidabo. The sun sets over the Collserola hills to the north-west. The site is free, but the city closes the gates in the evening, so confirm the opening hours before you go. From the Carmel neighbourhood it is a steep walk of 15 to 20 minutes up the hill. Bring water and arrive early, as it gets busy on clear evenings.
