About this spot

A long paved embankment on the east bank of the Vltava, at water level, looking west across the river and downstream toward Charles Bridge and the castle as the sun goes down. On warm evenings it is one of the liveliest hangouts in the city, with moored boats serving as bars and restaurants, food stalls and stone steps down to the water. It gets busy with locals but stays relaxed. The main stretch runs between Palackého Bridge and the railway bridge. Trams stop at Palackého náměstí and Výtoň.
