Letná Park and Beer Garden

About this spot

A plateau above the Vltava with a wide view south over the river, its string of bridges and the Old Town. From autumn to spring the sun goes down to the right, behind Prague Castle and Petřín Hill. In summer it sets behind you, but the bridges and spires still glow. The beer garden by the Letná chateau has benches along the railing facing the bridges, cheap beer from kiosks and a relaxed crowd. It is seasonal, roughly spring to autumn, and the benches fill early on summer evenings. The promenade west toward the Hanavský Pavilion is quieter. Entry to the park is free.
