From the Space Needle's upper observation level you watch the sun set over Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains, with downtown, Lake Union and, on clear days, Mount Rainier all around. The level below has a revolving glass floor. Entry is by timed ticket, around $35 to $55 depending on the season and time of day, so buy ahead and pick a slot shortly before sunset. Closing time is in the evening and changes by day and season, so in summer it can close before sunset; check the hours for your date.
