About this spot

Seattle's classic skyline view: from the south slope of Queen Anne Hill you look over the Space Needle and downtown to Elliott Bay, with Mount Rainier behind on clear days. The sun sets off to the right of the view, so the draw is the golden light on the towers and, after dark, the city lights. The park is a small terrace along Highland Drive and gets crowded at sunset, so arrive 30 to 45 minutes early for a spot at the railing. Parking is on the surrounding residential streets.
