Golden Gardens Park

About this spot

A sandy beach at the north end of Ballard, facing west across Puget Sound to the Olympic Mountains. On clear evenings the sun goes down over the water and behind the peaks. There is driftwood to sit on and benches along the path. In summer, beach fires are allowed in the designated fire pits, first come first served, and must be out by 10 p.m. The parking lots fill on warm evenings; extra parking is along Seaview Avenue NW. The park stays open well after sunset all year.
