Torrey Pines Gliderport

A clifftop airfield high above Black's Beach, where paragliders and hang gliders launch out over the ocean. The sun sets straight into the Pacific from the bluff, often with gliders still in the air. The gliderport is open daily until sunset, so plan to leave once the sun is down. Parking is a dirt lot that fills quickly on weekends and at sunset. There is a café with a bar on site, and tandem paragliding flights can be booked on site.
