About this spot
A big grassy hillside on the slope of Mount Soledad, looking out over Pacific Beach, Mission Bay, the ocean and the downtown skyline. Bring a blanket: the sun sets toward the ocean, and as it gets dark the city lights come on below. The park has open lawns for picnics, a playground and trails, and it is dog-friendly. Parking is free along Park Drive. The park is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
