Windansea Beach

About this spot

A sandy beach framed by sandstone reefs and the Windansea surf shack with its palm-frond roof, a local landmark at the end of Neptune Place. It faces west, so the sun goes down straight into the Pacific, and locals gather on the low bluffs above the sand to watch. There is no real parking lot: parking is on the nearby residential streets and is scarce, especially at sunset, so come early. Short sandy paths lead from the street down to the beach.
