A rusting shipwreck lies just off the sandy tip of Potamos Beach near Epanomi, and at sunset its silhouette sits against the Thermaic Gulf, with the sun going down over the water. Drive to Epanomi and on along narrow roads to the end of the beach, then walk about half a kilometre along the sand to the wreck. There are tavernas near the beach, but none at the wreck. Outside the summer lifeguard season, this end of the beach is popular with nudists.
