About this spot
George Zongolopoulos' sculpture of tall steel umbrellas rising into the air stands on the new seafront promenade, and it is one of the city's favourite sunset photos, looking out across the Thermaic Gulf toward Mount Olympus. It is a 20 to 30 minute walk east along the promenade from the White Tower, and free and open at any hour.
