A steep climb above Claremont Canyon ends at a bench on the ridgetop with a panoramic view over Oakland, Berkeley and the bay to San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge, where the sun goes down. The Stonewall-Panoramic Trail climbs about three quarters of a mile from Stonewall Road, steeply all the way. The trailhead has no parking lot and street parking on Stonewall Road is limited. The preserve is open 5am to 10pm and parking is free.
