About this spot

The bare summit on Skyline Boulevard has a 360-degree view, with the bay and Silicon Valley to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west, where the sun goes down over the coastal hills and the sea on clear evenings. Fog can roll in from the ocean and cover the view. It is a short walk up the 0.6-mile Anniversary Trail from the roadside parking areas on Skyline Boulevard, which have about 27 spaces. The preserve is open until half an hour after sunset, and entry is free.
