On the 73rd floor of the InterContinental in the Wilshire Grand Center, this open-air bar sits above the rest of downtown, and the sun goes down to the west over the city. Fire pits help once it gets cool, but bring a jacket, as the terrace is exposed to wind. It usually opens at 5pm (4pm on Saturdays), so in late autumn and winter the sun sets around or before opening; spring to early autumn is best. There is a minimum spend of around $60 per person, and booking ahead is wise for a sunset table. Hours change, so check before going.
