This was one of the most breathtaking hikes I’ve ever done — and the sunset at the top made it unforgettable. Tucked high in the Appenzell Alps, Schäfler is one of Switzerland’s most iconic ridgelines — and a great spot for sunset lovers. After a scenic hike (or a cable car + short trail combo), you’re rewarded with panoramic views of jagged peaks glowing in golden light.
